Somerset schools open Aug. 29, open houses and eighth grade orientation in Crisfield on Thursday, Aug. 25

WESTOVER — Public schools open Monday, Aug. 29 for the 2016-17 school year. On Thursday, Aug. 25 they are open for parents and students at various times, with eighth grade orientation for Crisfield Academy students at 5 p.m. Students in other grades may visit 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.

 

At Woodson Elementary, a concert at 11 a.m. sponsored by the Judy Center starts the day with visitation through 1 p.m. and again 4 to 6 p.m. Somerset Intermediate is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again 4 to 6 p.m.

 

Greenwood Elementary has a concert at 1:30 p.m., and remains open until 6. Princess Anne Elementary opens at 3, has its concert at 3:30 and also remains open until 6. Deal Island Elementary is open 3 to 6.

 

Washington Academy and High School is open 2 to 6 p.m., the same hours as the J.M. Tawes Technology & Career Center. Call the school of interest or 410-651-1616 for more details.
