Endorsement for Kathy Grant, candidate for Clerk of Court

Kathy Grant 1Ms. Kathy Grant, Candidate for Somerset County Clerk of Circuit Court

I have known and worked with Kathy for the past 14 years. She has been a person who has integrity, and is committed to the people of Somerset County, and importantly would be to the position of Clerk of the Circuit Court. She is both dependable and reliable.

As a native of Somerset County, she has dedicated most of her career in serving the people of Somerset County as a Commitment Manager in the largest Correctional Facility in the State of Maryland for 15 years, as well as a two term past President of the Auxiliary of the American Legion in Somerset County. During her tenure as President of the Auxiliary of the American Legion, she assisted and participated with numerous fundraisers to include the yearly senior citizen dinner, school and holiday giveaways.

Kathy’s years of experience as a supervisor managing an integral component of Corrections, determining releases in a timely manner, shows hard work, trust and reliability the organization had in her. Her ability to work with individuals’ diverse needs, show her concern for the welfare of her co-workers and supervisors. She does not hesitate to step in when other staff/co-workers are not available demonstrates EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP.

Her calm and patient demeanor is reflected in her services to customers and coworkers. She would have an early start and stay late to ensure customer’s needs were met and the task for the day was complete. She is a dependable worker to the organization as well as to her co-workers. She is a GREAT TEAM PLAYER!

As the Clerk of Circuit Court, the citizens of Somerset County can be assured that, they have someone who would provide prompt, efficient and effective services to all who come to the Circuit Court.
