Somerset County Health Department, Judy Center partner to promote nutrition

The Somerset County Judy Center Partnership has partnered with the Somerset County Health Department to conduct a FREE healthy eating education program on Tuesday, July 26 from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Somerset County Grocery Store Tour at the Princess Anne Food Lion.

Parents will learn from health department staff, while their children will be taught by Judy Center staff in this one-hour session that will give parents the opportunity to learn about healthy fruits, and vegetables and eating healthy within a budget while navigating the aisles of the grocery store.  Participating children 6 and under will engage in a fun alphabet scavenger hunt at the store, will learn about healthy food choices and will work together to create a picture book. All children will receive a free copy of this book. All participants will receive take home snacks, books and a chance to win a Food Lion Gift Card.
