Backyard Poultry 101: Free workshop offered by University of Md. Extension

SNOW HILL — Do you know what is fact or fiction in raising a backyard flock of birds? Join the University of Maryland Extension to learn the “bird basics” of small flock management and have your bird questions answered by poultry experts and specialists.

 

There will be a free program 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Berlin Tractor Supply Company, 10452 Old Ocean City Boulevard in Berlin.

 

Workshop topics to be discussed include expenses of raising birds, selecting your breed, poultry housing & coops, flock management, protecting your flock, and Q & A Session. There will be a chance at door prizes of poultry items for your flock.
