Basketball tryouts start for Eastern Shore regional team play

SALISBURY — Eastern Shore Sports Group will be bringing all year basketball to Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Sussex, Dorchester, and other counties comprising the Eastern Shore, which will not only bring exciting contests but provide a huge economic impact to this area.

 

With the basketball partnership of the (ESBL) Eastern Shore Basketball League (leagues and tournaments), Beach Bound Series Travel Basketball, (ABA) American Basketball Association (Salisbury Bulldogs), training and development spokeswoman Lisa Willis (Ex-WNBA player), the combined knowledge of more than 100 years of game experience will bring a large-scale tournament to the area.

 

The largest AAU Basketball tournament for this area goal is set at 150 teams boys and girls March/April 2017. There will also be more showcases with college coaches as organizers ant to make sure local kids have the best opportunity.

 

“Our goals are to produce athletes who can play basketball at the highest competitive levels, and to cultivate strong students and well-rounded citizens,” said one of the organizers. “The principle of teamwork is the foundation of all we do and shapes our comprehensive approach to inspiring self-confidence, athletic excellence, academic achievement, and leadership in the youth we serve, ages 8-16 boys and girls.
