EASTON — Douglas Reedy of Easton recently joined Character Counts Mid Shore (CCMS) as Development Associate where he is responsible for fundraising and grantwriting.
Mr. Reedy’s experience includes nonprofit administration, grant writing, financial reporting and marketing as co-founder of the Trees for Frederick environmental organization. He also brings to CCMS project management and public administration experience gained from his career with Frederick County Government.
For about a year until late summer 2015 he was the executive director of Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield.
Established in 1998, CCMS is a nonprofit organization that works to espouse positive character development in every aspect of life. Non-political and non-religious, the organization’s mission is to provide and implement a citizen-driven character enrichment program; based on the Six Pillars of Character — Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship; to all citizens in Talbot, Dorchester and Caroline Counties.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Doug to Character Counts Mid Shore,” states Susan Luby, executive director of CCMS. “With his valuable knowledge of the non-profit world, he will assist in securing the needs of this important organization.”
